The R5 Relay/Driver expands interoperability by enabling Phalanx Shield, or other non-native sensors, to activate any attached device – camera, communication system, drone or other “effector.” As a highly customizable platform capable of ingesting any Cursor-on-Target (CoT)-formatted data or converting non-CoT data to CoT, Phalanx Shield seamlessly integrates both new and legacy systems. Sensor cueing with the R5 increases attached device autonomy from hours or days to months or years by limiting active times for high power consumption devices – powering up only when required. Taking sensor and data fusion to the next level, the R5 enhances situational awareness and C4ISR, overmatching any UGS system currently fielded – it increases autonomy and interoperability, while lowering costs and decreasing manpower requirements.
New integrated analytics capabilities enable Pattern of Life and predictive analysis for SA dominance on mission or post mission. The Windows map/browser-based intuitive User Interface requires little to no training. Complete ATAK integration with forwarding of alarm data to multiple TAK servers. Iridium, SpaceX CubeSat, MANET, mobile network options are vertically integrated.

o Rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasting multiple months; no cables or extra battery packs required
o Displacement mode allows for tracking of a tampered R5 sensor with real time GPS fixes
o Drives high voltage and current loads; customized versions available. Contact closure configuration also available
o Encrypted alarms are transmitted up to 15 km using the LoRa protocol
o The R5 fixes its position automatically in less than 1 minute via onboard GPS and can be tracked if displaced or compromised
