Dan Kazmier is the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for Innovative Algorithms. Dan joined Innovative Algorithms after a successful career as a U.S. Marine, including service as an Aircraft Electronics Technician, Drill Instructor, Infantry Officer, International Affairs Officer, Judge Advocate, and International/Operational Law expert.
His service included combat tours as Chief of Operational Law in Iraq and Staff Judge Advocate and Senior Legal Advisor, (NATO) in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, focusing on major combat operations, the law of war, intelligence operations, targeting, and rules of engagement. (ROE) At the senior level, Dan has also served as Senior Legal Advisor for the Marines’ largest combat unit, First Marine Expeditionary Force, (I MEF) and as Commander for all U.S. Marine Recruit Training conducted for the Western Recruiting Region. (West of the Mississippi)
Dan brings decades of experience as an advisor and commander at all levels from the platoon to the regiment, including work in austere environments in both Latin America and Asia. Service included tours as Staff Judge Advocate, Joint Task Force Haiti, (post-earthquake disaster relief) – at the time, the largest disaster-relief effort ever mobilized, and as an advisor for joint and combined forces hostage rescue in Colombia. In this role, Dan worked with Jay Chesnut (CEO) to design and execute international special-operations-led rescue efforts. Lessons-learned from these successful operations, as well as his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, led Dan to take interest in emerging defense technology and ultimately, to joining Innovative Algorithms in 2022.
Dan is a fluent Spanish speaker, and has a Baccalaureate degree (BBA) in management from the University of Texas at Austin, a Juris Doctorate (JD) from The University of Maryland School of Law, a Legum Masters (LL.M.) in Military and International Law from the University of Virginia. (TJAGLCS) Dan is also a graduate of the Air War College.
His awards include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal, among other awards. His extensive knowledge and service in both peacetime and combat operations make him uniquely qualified to lead Innovative Algorithms’ effort to field and support its cutting-edge situational awareness technologies.
