Introducing the Phalanx Shield™ U5i Counter Small-UAS (cUAS)
Spec Sheet: cUAS Spec Sheet/Contact
The Phalanx Shield (PS) U5i Small Counter-UAS (cUAS) answers a critical awareness gap in the terrestrial and UAS domains. Designed as a multi-modal, long endurance remote sensor achieving a high probability of detection against threat-sUAS. The U5i continually scans for sUAS-sized flying objects. When an object is detected, additional known UAS parameters are scanned for that are typical of over 90 percent of commercial Small UAS.
Key capabilities:
• Initial drone detection followed by detection of other typical drone parameters
• High performance signal processing for low FAR
• Long-endurance remote emplacement (1 month)
• 15 km communication/remote deployment range
• Seamless open integration with PS or any Cursor-on-Target (CoT)/ATAK system
• Low SWaP-C
• Deployed and emplaced in under 2 minutes
• Tamper detection and tracking
• Remote C2 / configuration
• Rugged, IP67
The U5i provides much-needed stand-off from enemy sUAS systems. Like all Innovative Algorithms sensors, the U5i is equipped with sophisticated power management algorithms, allowing it to operate on an internal power pack with no need for cables or extra power sources. Its persistence makes it uniquely suited to both tactical and operational mission sets, while its small size, light weight and low profile allow it to be easily emplaced and concealed.
Rugged construction and reliability – stands up to the elements with little to no operator maintenance. Alarm data are displayed in the Windows map/browser-based User Interface or integrated into existing common operating picture (COP). Encrypted sensor alarms are stored for use by the PS predictive analytics package. Versatile backhaul solutions, including Iridium, SpaceX CubeSat, MANET, and mobile network communications options.
